Raiders Awarded National League Licence, Set to Compete in Basketball Ireland’s Domino’s Women’s Division 1
Dublin Raiders Basketball Club is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a National League licence and will compete in Basketball Ireland’s Domino’s Women’s Division One beginning this September.
This achievement marks a major milestone for the club and reflects years of dedicated work in building a strong development pathway for female players. Even more notably, the new team will be the first National League Women’s team to represent the North Wicklow and South Dublin regions, with their home games to be played at Coláiste Ráithín in Bray.
Raiders founder and current Club Chairman, Ed Randolph, described the news as a landmark moment for the club:
“It’s fantastic and great news for Raiders — a historic moment for the club and one which all our younger female players can now aspire to. We’re very proud of our underage structure, with all our girls’ teams competing in Division 1 next season. I believe the National League team will inspire new players to join and give our current members something to work towards.”
Randolph also extended his thanks to Basketball Ireland for the opportunity and encouraged any players interested in trying out for the team to register their interest by emailing admin@dublinraidersbasketball.com
